The Tower (2012) (Blu-ray release 2013-5-29) is a Korean disaster movie about a skyscraper on fire, inspired by The Towering Inferno (1974). It starts out slow in introducing every character. However, in terms of the effects and the tension after the fire started, surprisingly it is really well done, and I think it is not any worse than Hollywood productions. Although there are always jerks in the disaster movie formula, I think in this movie there are more jerks than usual. Given this is a Korean movie, it is not a spoiler to say that bad things happen to make the audience cry.
